As Above, So Below
This site is to help me formulate and verbalise more or less profound ideas, the kind that wants to be born, and so to finally begin processing my extensive backlog of notes. Be warned that I am strictly non-doctrinaire and many, if not most, of my ideas go against contemporary opinions. Hopefully you will find some of it worth reading nonetheless.
The title at the top is a quote from Nietzsche’s Zarathustra. I could quote and quote from him but I won’t. I consider this site a mere addition to the works of giants, kind of like filling in the gaps and adding my personal views, first and foremost, to the works of Béla Hamvas, who has imbued, integrated and transcended the entire knowledge of mankind.
And because I’m also passionate about technology and aesthetics, here’s what’s involved in bringing my ramblings to you: the site is generated with a hand-crafted generator in Ruby using the Merriweather Light and Oswald Light fonts. And a plea, if I may, to protect the open internet I’d kindly ask you to visit this site and surf the web with Mozilla Firefox.
Finally an advice: some content becomes visible only once an article is opened in single-view and the green ⁝ sign is clicked at the bottom. The motivation is not to annoy readers but to slow them down, to let the usually super-dense core sink in first. This is why the Random link in the menu bar is provided – to break the habit of linear reading.
Enjoy your stay!
